The images below link to individual microsites containing the research that each student conducted at semester's start, looking at the first and smallest of microboundaries: technological implants into the human body, and speculations on their potentials for a notion of retrofit. Each of these is a first thesis of Utility today: the union of contemporary notions of both functionality and beauty in architecture.
